4th Job

Job 4 (The Message Bible)

Eliphaz Speaks Out - “Now You're the One in Trouble”

Verses 1.10

Then Eliphaz from Teman spoke up...

"Would you mind if I said something to you? Under the
circumstances it's hard to keep quiet. You yourself have
done this plenty of times, spoken words that clarify,
encouraged those who were about to quit. Your words have
put stumbling people on their feet, put fresh hope in
people about to collapse. But now you're the one in
trouble—you're hurting! You've been hit hard and you're
reeling from the blow. But shouldn't your devout life give
you confidence now? Shouldn't your exemplary life give you
hope?

"Think! Has a truly innocent person ever ended up on the
scrap heap? Do genuinely upright people ever lose out in
the end? It's my observation that those who plow evil and
sow trouble reap evil and trouble. One breath from God and
they fall apart, one blast of his anger and there's nothing
left of them. The mighty lion, king of the beasts, roars
mightily, but when he's toothless he's useless.

I see it all the time in the rooms, someone with time
discouraged. They are brought low by sickness, death or
tragedy..... but it is not exactly as it says in the
passage. Have they forgotten? Don’t they remember their own
hopelessness when they arrived. Can’t they see how glorious
their own rebirth and new life in recovery with Christ has
been. Don’t they recall the words they gave another
newcomer but three days ago. “ Keep coming back it’s gonna
get better and better and better.

If things were always good how would we learn anything?

I have heard it said that pain is the touchstone of
spiritual growth and I believe it. No pain no gain! Don’t
worry there is a reason and God has a plan . We must trust
in faith in our Lords decision. He has not brought us this
far to drop us.

We do not know his plan.. we never did and we never will,
but we know his love for us is perfect. Let go and let God
have his way. You will see in time that it is in fact, a
better way for you. Remember your life here is only to
secure your life there. The only way out is through. Do
what you need to do! Ask for help! Jesus is there for us
always and unfailing. We love you and our love is empowered
only by his...so take heart.
