Jeremiah 10:23
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is
not in man that walketh to direct his steps
It has always been the same problem for me... Self Will.
Just add alcohol and it moves to self will run riot.
Without the alcohol or drugs its just self will.
Self will is not correct because we cannot be self directed
successfully. We are God’s creation. We are created in His
likeness not in ours. If we truly look into our hearts we
can see that all good has come from Him and his way not us
and our way.
We have broken ourselves because the world taught us to,
but in his Grace we can be saved from that finality. Our
problem is that we keep taking our will back again and
again. If we would only let Him have us, we could all be
what we are suppose to be. Perfect examples of God’s love.
If we would only let Him have us.
