Love Relationships TOO Early in Recovery
They told us to give ourselves a year before we brought anyone else into this mess!
Give yourself time when you are new in recovery. As others in the program remind us... "WE will love you until you can love yourself".... right now you don't have any love to give. They pointed out how well my previous relationships had gone... Besides it ain't the 60's anymore..free love can be very dangerous especially with someone new in the program or active in addiction! Best to take the suggestions of the long timers? They told us Cinderella was waiting all we needed to do was to become Price Charming. It may not be what you want right now but it may be exactly what you need. Be patient or you may become one!
