( False Evidence Appearing Real ) We can now see that perfect love and guidance was always available to us if only we would have accepted it, as a child accepts a toy. We can never deserve or earn his gift of perfect love. He has done all the work and offers it to us through the humility of grace. As children of the living God, it is our divine inheritance for a life of wondrous joy.
With the gift of time in solid recovery, we can ponder as we look at the death of Christ and try to understand how our own love was crucified. To be sure, we were the ones who denied our perfect love with Christ and nearly put to death our very own lives. We had delivered a guilty verdict to ourselves dictated from an disconnected ego out of control. Our seemingly unforgivable guilt, developed through our self-will-run-riot behavior under the influence, screamed CRUCIFYand crucify we did to the gates of insanity and death.
...but for the grace of God...forgiveness is ours through Christ.
