We are all born with a hole in our souls. This hole is there for a great purpose. To be filled by the only one that can fill it…

Through abuse we only create a larger hole. Speaking for myself I had a hole that you could drive a truck through when I arrived in the rooms of recovery. The abuse had taken me the point of self loathing.

 I tried everything to fill that hole… people, sex, alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, things and whatever else you can think of, but none of it worked. Today I know that none of it will ever work. I know that it is not a finite hole but an infinite one that can only be filled with true divinity.  That divine gift of desparation that was Jesus Christ. Not my way but His way. I must understand that I can never match up to that perfection and I never will. We must know that He loves us and always will. That we can rest forever no matter whatever in the arms of the svaior that loves us all. When I came into the rooms I knew none of this. It was taught to me by all of you. You are the ones that have brought me to this life giving realization.

The bible and the Word is the basis for recovery. The bigger book is the basis for the big book. It always has been and you have to but understand that for your greatest gift in recovery.  By study of the Word, you will begin to see the truth.
