Without acceptance for God, there cannot be Christ in our lives.

In the rooms we start the process of really knowing our God or, if you like, coming to! This is only a beginning, but without it, we can never succeed.

On a go ahead basis, only through clarity can we be fully loved by our God, for then we are present to receive all He has for us.. As we stay sober and continue to work through the 12 steps, our connection to our God strenghtens. Over time, if we work at it, our connection with God can develop from a shaky analog land line to wide band optical cable, but we must remain vigilent! It is a process, not an event.

Eventualy somewhere during this process comes a time when we begin to ask ourselves why? Why am I doing so well? Why am I not getting what I deserve? Why am I starting to feel real love in my heart for others? Why am I experiencing this wonderful revolutionary change of a far better me? ... how can I deserve this... How? Why?

These answers cannot be found in the "Big Book" but can be found in "The Bigger Book"... the Bible! Here's the short version...

Jesus Christ came down from heaven as our personal intercessor in perfect love. He was made man and in utter innocence suffered a excruciating death for our sins by the way of the cross.....He was the perfect sacrifice for our sins. You see when it comes to real truth, justice must be served. Through HIS death on the cross we have been reconciled with God the father, "white as snow"... that's it..... that's all. He did it all!

This next statement was made famous by Jack Nickolson.. "You can't handle the truth!"...but we desperatly need to understand and accept this truth of Christ if we are to move into a new life with Him. We MUST accept His Grace. It is our most important decision here on earth.

No one deserves the sacrifice that Christ made for us... NO ONE, but, none the less, it has been accomplished for us through Him. For this reason and this reason alone are we now able to approach the throne of the living God and gain complete forgiveness through repentance and acceptance of this belief in our hearts. Think of what you have receieved in the rooms... happiness, Joy, Freedom? did you deserve it? Where did it come from? Are you even really doing it or do you, like all of us, have to let go each day in order to receive His matchless Grace!

What's critical here is that we investigate further on our own. We need to understand completly. We need to read the text (the truth). Just like the Big Book was so helpful to us in the beginning... so now is the Bible later in our recovery! The difficulty we had then, was being so confused because of our use and abuse. In that early recovery condition trying to understand the bible and get around all that ancient text and translation so that we could fully understand was nearly impossible...whew!

PLEASE KNOW.... To fully suceed in your walk of truth or "salvation" you MUST read the word of God. Only in this way can you know and accept it's truth through understanding and His blessed revelation.  Add this to what you have witnessed in the rooms of recovery, and you will see His truth in living!

These actions will bring you what you are looking for...the new freedom. Don't take our word for it, read it yourself, attend samll groups. You will see as so many of us have, that we are in a unique position to understand and believe the word of God because we have lived the lie. We know what doesn't work and for that reason we, like no other, can understand the truth when we see it.
