Don’t love the world’s ways.
Don’t love the world’s goods.
Love of the world squeezes out love of the Father.
Practically everything that goes on in the world..
Wanting your own way
Wanting everything for yourself
Wanting to appear important
Has nothing to do with the Father.
It just isolates you from Him!

For the alcoholic/addict truer words could not be spoken. Seeking our own way kept taking us further and further away from our Lord and deeper and deeper into very confused state of abject fear and isolation.

Someone in a meeting yesterday said that HELL is when man is completely separated from God. I can tell you.. it sure was for me. Over time with addiction I traveled further and further away from the one true source in my life. I have come to believe that this single separation is at the root of all of our human failings. Look closely within yourself.

As we are witnessed to in the rooms of recovery  we can plainly see that Jesus is not out to condemn, but to fulfill our lives. All we need do is accept His Grace for we can never deserve his perfect gift of selfless love. In this way our true heritage as children of the living God can and will become fulfilled! The perfect gift from a perfect God for our perfect solution. Acceptance by the Grace of Christ to fulfill the true need in our lives, rather than our wants of human desires. Real Love of our Saviour IS the answer to all our problems. Turn to love. Praise Jesus!
