Coming to the end of self is the beginning.
Understand for now - You simply do not know!
Things are not going good... look at where you are!
So what to do...
Well... What you believe is not correct and the proof of that lies in this simple question that you really need to ask yourself...
Is my life working?
So.... is everything peaches and cream, or are we ready to explore some new ideas?
What do you need to make your life better?
Certainly not what you want, for that my friend is killing you... and NOW... you know it is!
Who knows what you need?
God!
I don't really believe in God you may say, We say that's OK because He believes in you.
Most of us just coming into recovery believed that we were God.... but alas not so.
So...If we believe that... we are indeed living a lie.
As far as being connected to God in any way... can we not see that at our current level of addiction we are, in fact, dying.... even a little at a time!
This is the proof that we need. but can we really see it? Can we? Or... are our minds too fogged out with drugs or alcohol and other ego addictions for us to make any kind of real connection to the truth... to sanity! As my sponsor told me. "You don't even know you don't know!
He told me to let go.
Let go of what?
Everything... the drugs the alcohol the other alcoholic/addicts we were hanging with and eventually they said, even the old thinking must be replaced.
Why?
He said every action started with a thought.
He said if I wanted help, then I needed to allow THE TRUE connection to occur. GOD IS LOVE and He will love you the moment you stop fogging/killing yourself with drugs and alcohol and desire his access through your willingness to stay sober.
Loaded with shame and quilt you may say... God won't love me.
Wrong! We know that he will, remember God does not love... God Is Love
He won't love me.
What are your options?
Hummm?
